How Does A Giving Day Work?
Giving Days represent a growing trend utilizing a web-based online giving platform to create an easy, exciting way for area residents to make gifts in their community.
Nonprofits and donors compete to raise funds for their organizations with the ability to win prizes (ranging from
$500 to $25,000).
These prizes - as well as a dollar-for-dollar match up to $1,000 - are funded by the Foundation, Bank ofAmerica, partnering corporations, other institutions and individual donors. FCCF is continuing to fundraise for the prize
pool. The larger the prize pool, the greater the incentive for nonprofits to participate in the competition.
