Breast Cancer Alliance is proud to announce the launch of a new event, GO FOR PINK, which plans to be an uplifting community event in Greenwich to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and the work of BCA. We are inviting all merchants in Greenwich to join us and participate to rally around this important cause. GO FOR PINK is scheduled this year on Thursday, October 2nd with events throughout the day beginning with the raising of the Breast Cancer Alliance flag at Town Hall, and ending with GO FOR PINK Shopping Receptions at participating stores from 5-8pm and at Richards until 9pm. A percentage of the sales will be donated to Breast Cancer Alliance. We are extremely thankful to Richards/Mitchells and Greenwich Magazine/Moffly Media that will support us for this new event in addition to their sponsorship of our annual benefit luncheon. Our communication and outreach plan aims for broad participation and significant visibility for those supporting GO FOR PINK. The mission of Breast Cancer Alliance is to improve survival rates and quality of life for those impacted by breast cancer through better prevention, early detection, treatment and cure. To promote these goals, we invest in innovative research, breast surgery fellowships, regional education, dignified support and screening for the underserved.
